I’ve been working flat out because where I work has just opened and people are going fucking crazy over a brand new shopping centre, it’s just a yawn to me because I’ve seen it so many times before it was open, it’s great being able to work there now though, Making money and being able to help people, I’m working hard and I can feel it in my muscles, I’ve worked all weekend and spent some time with friends, I’ve got a shift today (Sunday) in about 2 hours. I love going to work, nothing else matters and I just seem to focus on work. It’s great!

If I keep working and getting more shifts, I’ll be-able to buy my phone sooner :) ! I’m looking at a HTC Diamond but I want to see how MSN works on it and how well the keypad works. Looks like a great phone though.

I’m off to get ready for work, I’ll post a blog tonight or tomorrow about how my life is going. :)

Technology Whore

Skype beta dialing screenI’ve got 2 great devices to ramble on about today, First device is Skype™ BETA 4.0 – I’m a pretty big skype user for business and personal. I was browsing the skype website so I could run Skype on my new phone when I purchased it and noticed that they had a BETA out, I was very excited to try this newSkype Chat Window overall version because I wanted to see how they were going to change skype. I downloaded and installed the Skype better and was fulled with smiles, It was brand new looking, It was easy to use and kept everything in one neat window. I begin using skype how I usually do and was very happy with how everything was easily findable, how you could easily click between conversation on the main window whilst being in a call or even being able to Skype BETA calling windowflawlessly able to view the users details in the same window with one quick click, I think the Skype developers have done great and I haven’t seen any bugs as of yet, I’ve had the program installed for several days and It’s gone through several business calls overseas, several personal calls and easily send text messages just like a chat with a contact, all you need is the number in your contact list and you’re ready to go. Now for my second piece of technology, I bought myself a Xbox 360 arcade, I know it’s not the best xbox on the market but I’ve finally got one and can call it my own, I’ve only borrowed a game off a mate, been playing gta4 like crazy, I’ll get some photos of it soon. ;)

Off to play GTA4! :)

Stereotyping “EMO” Music

Posted by James | Posted in Rant, World | Posted on 31-05-2008

Many people stereotype me as an emo because I have long hair, because i’m emotional or listen to “Emo music”

How can music not be “Emo” all music is emotional, all music has a reason behind it, even if you can’t see it, its relevant to writer of the song, it may be a current issue in their life or something that they’ve just dealt with. It’s a creative way to release emotions that may be hard to open up about.

According to Urban Dictionary, This is the meaning of “EMO”

” Emo
Punk music on estrogen. Often acoustic guitar with soft, high male vocals that dwell exessively on the singer’s feelings, especially melancholy remembrances of past relationships/mistakes in life. A form of music that diverged from punk in the ’80s, the name “emo” is derived from the emotive style of the lyrics and music. “

What about singers like Amy Winehouse, Brittney spears – They’ve both got songs that are emotional, Does that make them emo? Maybe you should look at some of your own playlists and search some of your artists lyrics and next time you might think twice about calling a kid emo because he listens to an emotional band or artists, how do you think lyrics are written! Everyone has emotions and if somebody didn’t. They’d never be-able to love, have friends, have relationships, How could they show how they felt towards someone, They couldn’t even feel empty because they can’t feel happiness, angry, depressed, sad..

Wake up and figure out that emo is one of the stupidest things to stereotype someone as.
